Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: May 02, 2017
GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Registration and warm up 5.30-6.30 sharp.
2. Information and questions from players 6.30-6.45.
3. Tournament: 6.45-11.
4. We are running a three-strike group knockout tournament using matchplay events.
5. There will probably be about 14 machines in use on the night.
6. Grant is not obliged to tell players which machines will be used prior to the tournament day.
7. For each round you will be placed in a group of four (or three if odd number of entrants) and allocated a machine to play one game on. In four player matches, whoever finishes third AND fourth will receive a strike. In three player games whoever finishes third receives a strike. You stay in the comp until you receive three strikes. Last player standing is the winner.
8. ENTRY FEE: $25 for the whole night.
9. On the night players should have their IFPA # ready, to save time. Just Google IFPA and your name to get your # if you have one.
10. For players who want more practice, they can attend the Friday lock-ins at Adelaide Pinball Hire. Check dates with Grant.
11. There will be a tech on site for the tournament.

2) First round pairing: Slaughter - highest seed plays lowest seed etc.
3) General pairing: Balanced - Players will be randomly paired with previously unfaced opponents.
4) Player order: Random - players will be randomly assigned a play order.
5) Arena draws: Balanced - computer tries to allocate arenas that have been played the fewest times.
6) Number of strikes: Three.
7) Strikes in four-player groups: One strike each to third and fourth places.
8) Strikes in three-player groups: One strike to third place.

8) Allocation of byes if needed: Random.
