Tournament Overview


Tournament Date: September 27, 2016

ENTRY FEE: $25 for the whole night. This means up to about 6 hours of playing.
1. Registration and warm up 5.30-6.30pm sharp.
2. Information and questions from players 6.30-6.40pm.
3. Tournament: 6.40-11pm.
4. We are running a single four-strike knockout tournament using matchplay events.
5. There will probably be 20-25 machines in use on the night.
Format:
1) Seeding: IFPA.
2) First round pairing: Slaughter - highest seed plays lowest seed.
3) General pairing: Balanced - Players will be randomly paired with previously unfaced opponents.
4) Player order: Balanced - player with fewest play order choices chooses player order.
5) Arena draws: Balanced - computer tries to allocate arenas that have been played the fewest times.
6) Number of strikes: Four.
7) Value of byes: Full win.
8) Allocation of byes if needed: Random.
