The IFPA wanted to take a look at the most decorated players in competitive pinball’s history. While pinball has had many prestigious events over the years, whether it was the Pinball Expo Flip-Out tournaments of the 90’s, Pinburgh of the early 00’s, and the Doubles and Team events held at the IFPA and PAPA World Championships of the 90’s, the IFPA only looked at what we consider the current set of Major Championships for our sport. These Majors include the IFPA World Pinball Championship, PAPA World Pinball Championships, European Pinball Championships, Pinburgh Match Play Championship and THE OPEN.
The current leader for most career Major Championship victories is Keith Elwin with 11. Below is a full list of Major champions broken down by tournanment (IFPA-PAPA-EPC-PINBURGH-OPEN), as well as a full list of players that have made the top 4 of these Major Championships, with the number of times they finished in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in parenthesis. With his victory at IFPA11, Jorian Engelbrektsson become the first player to capture 3 out of the 5 Major Championship titles for his career (only Pinburgh and THE OPEN remain). With his victory at EPC 2023, Escher Lefkoff becomes the second player to capture 3 out of the 5 Major Championship titles for his career (only Pinburgh and IFPA remain).
