Brett Goodwin – Winner of the Australian Championship Series

blog post courtesy of Marc Bell
No stranger to the international pinball competitive scene, Brett Goodwin once again takes out the Australian Championship Series for the 2016 season. This win now complimenting his 1st place achieved in the 2014 season.
The tournament was held at the Thornbury Bowling Club in Melbourne Victoria. While the ACS itself stretched over two days (qualifying and finals), another three side tournaments were held over an additional two days making the entire event four days of exhausting but rewarding pinball. There was even a ‘flips’ tournament which saw the PAPA Split Flipper World Champions (Naiomi and Brett Goodwin) battling fellow Australians for nothing but pride!
Full results of the Australian Championship Series and all 32 competitors can be found on Game the System at the following link: http://gamethesystem.co/latest/13/2/2017/see-full-results-ifpa-pinball-australian-championship-series-2017

2016 – IFPA State of the Union

With the 2016 pinball season officially behind us, the World Pinball Player Rankings continues to show no signs of slowing down within the competitive pinball community. We wanted to take a quick look back at the growth we’ve seen during 2016.

We’re proud to say that the total number of players the IFPA is now ranking at the end of 2016 is 46,949. This represents a 21% growth from the end of 2015 where we had 38,651 players. In addition, the number of players that played in an IFPA endorsed tournament during 2016 was 17,174, up 4% from the number of players that were active during 2015.
