TOURNAMENT FORMAT DETAILS:

QUALIFYING:

Registration opens from 9.30am, with play to start by 10am.

Players will be placed into groups of 4, chosen at random (4 player games).

Each group will be assigned 3 games at random, with the IFPA points system being used (7-5-3-1).

There will be a total of 5 qualifying rounds (15 games per player).

After each round, new groupings will be selected, according to points earned in the tournament to date.

Groupings are determined by the Swiss method (1,2,3,4 … 5,6,7,8 ... and so on) until all players have been grouped.

All games will be played as 4-player games (unless machine is unable to allow it).

Matchplay software will allocate the games and order for each match.

The top 16 players will advance to the Finals once completed.

Ties for any players in 16th place will be determined by a single game playoff on any machine chosen at random.

Ties for any players anywhere else in the Top 16 will be broken by the player with the most number of wins, then broken by 2nd placings, then by a tie-break game (if required).

FINALS:

Finals will be played via a single elimination bracket.

Each match will be contested as a best of 5 series.

Highest seed has either choice of machine or play order.

Machine chosen will remain the same for all 5 games (if required), while play order alternates between games.

Players can only choose the same machine once during the finals series, ie. once a player selects Deadpool, for example, they are unable to pick the same game again for the rest of the finals.

The winner will be the last remaining player.
