Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 10, 2015
CNY Pinball is proud to announce a small gathering of local pinball fans. Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each and every month from 430pm-830pm at Al's Wine & Whiskey. Located at 321 S Clinton St, Syracuse, NY, Al’s will be our gracious host for this NEW Bi-monthly meet & greet, and pinball tournament. ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME.
Unlimited qualifying, where best 6 games count (3 on each machine.) Top 4 players after 830pm games go to the FINALS.
6 games qualifying, 3 games in semi's, and 11 games in finals means a max of 20 games, plus 4 hours of open qualifying.
Players ranked behind 3000 in the world, and new players, will not be charged a fee for entry into the tournament. Machines will be on coin drop (50 cents for Tales of the Arabian Nights, 75 cents for The Walking Dead), so $3.75 will be the price to play each machine three times. Players in this group are STILL ELIGIBLE to win from prize pool.
Players ranked better than 3000 in the world (more experience) will pay $1 per entry (one game on each machine), plus coin drop. Players see me (Dave Cohen) to buy entries into tournament.
FINALS. Any game in progress at 830pm will be allowed to finish, and that will be the last entry. Semi-finals will consist of a best 2 out of 3 format. Top seeds (#1 and #2) pick first game, then alternate games. Top seed plays 4th seed. 2nd seed plays 3rd seed. 3rd place will be determined by best scores in their losses. Finals will consist of a best 6 out of 11 format. Higher seed picks first game, then alternate games until winner is crowned.
More rules. Balls stuck or need a ruling? Find me (Dave Cohen). Have fun! Anyone caught cheating will be bounced from the Tourney. Everyone is expected to be on their best behavior. Bang backs and death saves are not allowed. If a feature/light on a machine is not working, keep playing. That feature won't work for all other players. Slam tilts, bang-backs, and death saves are not allowed. First offense is a disqualification from the tournament. Intentionally interfering with another player's game will result in disqualification from the tournament.
Prize pool will consist of 100% of the entry fees. The top 4 players will split the prize pool: 1st 40% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% 4th 10%.
Everyone who enters will earn WPPR Points for the World Pinball Player Rankings (Points depend on turnout, but with past numbers I am confident this tournament would be worth anywhere from 6.3 to 6.7 points)
