Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 06, 2016
QUALIFYING UNTIL 915PM
TOP 4 = FINALS AT 915PM
CNY Pinball is proud to announce a small gathering of local pinball fans. Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each and every month from 515pm-915pm at Al's Wine & Whiskey Lounge. Located at 321 S Clinton St, Syracuse, NY, Al’s will be our gracious host for this monthly meet & greet, and pinball tournament. ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME.
Unlimited qualifying, where best 5 games count (2 on Lord of the Rings, 3 on Walking Dead.) Top 4 players after 9pm games go to the FINALS.
Players ranked lower than 3000th in the world, and new players, will not be charged a fee for entry into the tournament. Machines will be on coin drop (50 cents for Lord of the Rings, 75 cents for The Walking Dead), so $3.25 will be the price to play the minimum qualifying games. Players in this group are STILL ELIGIBLE to win from prize pool.
Players ranked better than 3000th in the world (more experience) will pay $1 per entry (2 games), plus coin drop. Players see me (Dave Cohen) to buy entries into tournament.
FINALS. Any game in progress at 915pm will be allowed to finish, and that will be the last entry. All ties are broken by ranking of lowest qualifying score (3rd place score for players tied) on Walking Dead.
Group play, where 6 games are played, if necessary. Pinburgh style. 3 points for beating 3 people on a game, 2 points for beating 2 people on a game, 1 point for beating 1 person on a game. 0 points for a last place game.
More rules. Balls stuck or need a ruling? Find me (Dave Cohen). Have fun! Anyone caught cheating will be bounced from the Tourney. Everyone is expected to be on their best behavior. Bang backs and death saves are not allowed. If a feature/light on a machine is not working, keep playing. That feature won't work for all other players. Slam tilts, bang-backs, and death saves are not allowed. First offense is a disqualification from the tournament. Intentionally interfering with another player's game will result in disqualification from the tournament.
Prize pool will consist of 100% of the entry fees. The top 4 players will split the prize pool: 1st 40% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% 4th 10%
Everyone who enters will earn IFPA - International Flipper Pinball Association WPPR Points for the World Pinball Player Rankings (Points depend on turnout, but with past attendance numbers I am confident this tournament would be worth anywhere from 1.39-3.28 WPPR's)
