Welcome to the inaugural Emerald City Cup, Seattles premier match play pinball tournament.

Because this is our first year and we are in a location with limited space (and time), there will be a cap of 32 players for the tournament. This cap may increase if more machines become available, but it is unlikely to do so at this time. Registration is first come first serve and will open on November 8th, 2014 at noon PST. Payment information will be posted soon.
The price of the tournament is $20 for entry, plus coindrop will be taken on all games. 100% of the tournament entry fees will be paid back to the players as prizes.

The format of the tournament is as follows:

Players will be randomly assigned 4-player groups in each round for 7 rounds of match play. Each round consists of one 4-player game on a randomly selected machine. Players will be awarded either 4, 2, 1, or 0 points depending on whether they finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in each game.

The top 16 players will advance to a PAPA style finals round. PAPA clearly spells out this format here: http://papa.org/learning-center/director-resources/directors/finals-formats/.

All players in the top 16 will be paid cash prizes, the distribution of which is TBA soon.
