It’s the return of our pinball league. We’ll be doing a short season of four Sundays followed by a final tournament. Our first match will be September 26 at 5pm.
Each week, players will compete in 4 games in a group of 4 (or 3) players. With their assigned group, each player will play one game each in the available pinball machines. 7, 5, 3 or 1 (or 7, 4, or 1) points will be awarded for player placement in each game. The current line up is Dialed In, Twilight Zone, AC/DC, and Iron Maiden. Groups will be assigned based on “Swiss pairing”, meaning players will be matched based on their performance in the previous week. Groups will be random the first week.
The finals will consist of a double elimination tournament where the top 50% of players will qualify. All remaining players will be invited to a secondary tournament, the winner of such would be allowed to advance to the main tournament.
Pre-plays are allowed, but players must compete in person in at least 2 of the 4 Sunday matches. Pre-plays must be witnessed by another league player, or someone approved by Tim (league official). Tim has to be informed of your intent to pre-play beforehand.
Entry is $5 which will go towards prizes and sanctioning. Seeding will be based on regular season final ranking.
We will continue our policy of respectful play in accordance with IFPA rules. No aggressive play, rage tilting, or course language. Violators will be warned with a yellow card, and repeat offenders will be asked to leave.
