Peter Scheldt wins PITs Pinball Tournament

_MG_0640f.jpg20 players showed up at this new tournament right in the middle of Germany to battle out a winner. Nine machines had to be played in the so called Family Mode. Every played had to play every single machine. The player with the highest score earned 25 point, 2nd place 24, 3rd place 23 and so one. Most of the German top players were around so it was a very hard fight on a very warm afternoon. Peter Scheldt ended up as the winner, followed by Martin Hotze on 2nd place, Albert Medaillon became 3rd and Erwin Deutschlander 4th. The trophy for the best kid won Lisa Scheldt.

Adam Becker wins Toronto Pinball League

TOPL_001.jpgThe Toronto Pinball League held its end of season Playoffs on July 12th in Carlisle, Ontario at one of the member’s homes. The double elimination tournament saw attendance of 25 participants across two divisions. Over eight hours of play the field was whittled down to a finals match up between Adam Becker and Charles Blaquiere. In the end Adam bested Charles in the 2 out of 3 match taking the title of Toronto Pinball League Tournament Champion. 2nd place went to Charles Blaquiere and third place went to Sean Oneill.

Keith Elwin and Neil Inn are winners of California Extreme 2009

Double_Champ_AGAIN____WPPR_.JPGThe show was bigger than ever this year, with an approximate 50% increase in attendance over the previous year, and the tournaments reflected this increase with around 80 people participating in EACH of CAX’s 3 Tournament Divisions: Modern, Solid state, and EM.
Neil Inn was the winner of the EM division while Keith Elwin, just like last year, won BOTH the Solid State AND Modern divisions. Neil Shatz pulled a ‘2nd place sweep’ of all divisions, while other winners included Trent Augenstein and Tom Neighbors (3rd and 4th in Solid State), Jim Belsito (3rd in EM) and Johnny Modica (3rd in Modern), and Andre Massenkoff (4th place in Modern and EM). Also, Robert Gagno was this year’s winner of the Casual Division Tournament.
