Escher Lefkoff wins 3rd Major Championship!

In the history of competitive pinball, very few (34 in fact) have had the chance to call themselves a Major Champion, with even fewer having won multiple Major Championships (12 players in history going into EPC 2023). Players with THREE Major Championships is an even shorter list (6 players in history going into EPC 2023). Like professional golf or tennis, the opportunity to join this elite club now only happens three times a year. The 2023 European Pinball Championship came down to the current World #1 and World #2 ranked players, with Escher Lefkoff defeating Jason Zahler 4 games to 1 to become the 7th player in history to win 3 Major Championships.

Escher became the 2nd player from the United States to ever win the EPC (Lyman Sheats won the EPC in 2007. Escher also became the 2nd player in history to win 3 different Major Championships, PAPA, The Open and EPC (Jorian Engelbrektsson is the other having won IFPA, PAPA and EPC).

With his 2nd place finish, Jason Zahler reached his 2nd top 4 finish in Major Championships (two in a row). Paul Englert from Germany reached his 1st top 4 finish in Major Championships with his 3rd place finish. 4th place went to Roy Wils who earned his 2nd top 4 finish in Major Championships.
