Tournament Overview

Start Date: April 09, 2015
End Date: April 12, 2015

Times:
Qualify:
Thursday: 1pm – 11 pm
Friday: 1pm – 11 pm
Saturday: 1pm – 11 pm
Sunday: 8am – 12noon
Finals:
Sunday: 1pm – 5pm

Unlimited qualifying across 10 machines. Top six games are counted for your qualifying total.

The number of qualifying slots which will advance to the final rounds is dependent upon the number of players competing:

At a minimum, each division will take the top 12 qualifiers to the final rounds.
If there are at least 25 unique players that have entered and played at least one game in a division then the top 16 will advance to the finals.

Finals will consist of a quarterfinal, semifinal, and final round.

Finals will be played on a bank of 5 games that were used in qualifying.

In the quarterfinal rounds, the qualifiers in each division will be divided into three or four groups as follows:

12 Qualifiers
group 1 #1, #6, #7, #12
group 2 #2, #5, #8, #11
group 3 #3, #4, #9, #10

16 Qualifiers
Group 1 #1, #8, #9, #16
Group 2 #2, #7, #10, #15
Group 3 #3, #6, #11, #14
Group 4 #4, #5, #12, #13

Each group will play three separate four-player games, each on a different machine from among those designated for that division. Each four-player game will be scored as follows:

1st 4 points
2nd 2 points
3rd 1 point
4th 0 points

For the semifinal rounds in each division, the qualifiers in each division (or players advancing from quarterfinals, if those were played) will be divided into two to four groups of three or four, as necessary depending on the number of qualifiers. The groups will be organized according to the original qualifying rank as shown here:

# Qualifiers:
Six
#1, #4, #5
#2, #3, #6

Eight
#1, #4, #5, #8
#2, #3, #6, #7

Nine
#1, #6, #7
#2, #5, #8
#3, #4, #9

Each group will play three separate three-player or four-player games, each on a different machine from among those designated for that division. All scoring and rules for this round are as described in “Quarterfinal Rounds”. Players with the top four point totals in each division, regardless of which group they played in, shall advance to the final round of that division. Only four players will advance to the final round in each division, regardless of the number of players competing in the semifinal round.

In each division, four players advance to the final round. The final round for each division is conducted in the same manner as the semifinal round. The total scores for this round will determine the ordering of winners in each division.
