The Classics Kickoff tournament is a separate event from the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Pinball Open, and will kick things off on Thursday night (3/20) with a Match Play event worth 136% WPPRS!

This event is open to anyone and has a separate registration and separate entry fee from the 2025 MAPO.

Event will be capped at 80 players.

Tournament will only use "classic" games.

WHEN: March 20th

WHERE: 1100 First State Blvd, Second Floor, Wilmington DE 19804

TIME: 7PM Sharp start time. Doors open at 6pm. Practice ends at 6:45pm for announcements

COST: MEMBERS $5 ($1 to IFPA, $4 to prize pool) NOTE - This price is reserved for members who have active memberships as of 12/31/24

NON-MEMBERS $30 ($1 to IFPA, $25 to DPC for club access, $4 to prize pool)

NOTE - No food or beverage provided for this event. You are allowed to bring your own food. We will have snacks available for purchase. We carry non-alcoholic sodas, energy drinks, coffee and water.

PRIZES: Top 4 win cash. Percentage breakdown after all expenses will be 40% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, 20% for 3rd, and 10% for 4th.

QUALIFYING FORMAT: 8 rounds of group match play. Swiss pairings. 7/5/3/1 scoring per game.

Top 16 players make "A" finals (based on minimum of 32 players)

FINALS FORMAT: Top 16 Players make the “A” Finals. Automatic Tiebreakers are turned on and will be used to seed the field. Exception will be 16th place. If less than 4 players are tied for 16th place, the players will have a 1 GAME Playoff played on Stars to determines who advances to the Finals. If more than 4 players tied for 16th place, the players will play a 1 GAME playoff on Stars. This playoff game will be significant and will result in the final position for those players that don’t make it into the final. For example, if we have 3 players tied at 15th place, after the tiebreaker game the winner would be placed in 15th, 2nd would be placed 16th, 3rd would be placed 17th.

The format will consist of 3 rounds, playing 3 games each round. High seed will drive the bus for all 3 games. No game can be played twice in the same round. No one is allowed to wait for a game in use.

Scoring will be 4/2/1/0 for each of the 3 games. Top 2 advance, bottom 2 are eliminated.
