Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: February 08, 2015
Doors open at 10 AM. Qualifying starts at 10 AM with the last ticket sold at 6 PM. All tickets must be played by 7 PM. No refunds for unused tickets.
Tournament will feature a main tournament as well as a classics side tournament.
Scoring will be done in the Herb or Best Game format.
You may enter as many times as you like. Tickets will cost $5 for 2 tickets or $10 for 4 tickets or $20 for 9 tickets. There will be an A and B division. All entry fees will be paid out in cash and prizes.
Players ranked higher than 1500 and new players will receive free entries.
Best game format: Players can buy tickets (1 ticket is good for 1 game play) and play games as much as they want during the qualifying times. Only a players best score on each machine will be counted. You will be ranked based on your best scores from 4 games.
At the end of qualifying the top 12 players will make the A playoffs. The next next 8 players in qualifying with an IFPA rank of 400 or lower (ex. 1975) will qualify for B Division.
Playoffs will be in Survivor format. The lowest 4 qualifiers will play a game and the lowest score on that game will be eliminated. Then the next highest qualifier will be added. Highest seed in each round gets choice of game or order. A player can not select a game that had been played any of the three prior games.
Highest score for the tournament in qualifying on two randomly chosen games will also receive an immunity idol which will enable them to prevent elimination once during the playoffs by declining to play a game. The idol cannot be used once there is only 3 players remaining.
The top 4 qualifiers on the classics bank will qualify for the A Classics tournament the next 4 with an IFPA rank of 400 or greater will qualify for the B playoffs.
Classics final will consist of one 4 player classics game chosen by the top qualifier.
Payouts will be determined by participation. All entry fees will be paid out in cash and prizes.
