Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 17, 2024
Join us for what continues to be one of the most challenging regularly scheduled tournaments in Florida due to the vast array of machines of all eras which are played daily plus players need to not only adapt to a different era each round but also adapt to how each machine is playing that day as well as that the venue is also open to the public during tournament play adding a bit of potential distraction for good measure! NOTE that this month's event is the 3rd Sunday of the month vs our usual 4th Sunday.
WHEN:
Registration & Practice Time: 11:00 am to 12 pm
Tournament Start Time: 12 pm
HOW MUCH:
Entry Fee: $10 for Tourney + $15 for a full day, unlimited play admission to the Silverball (normally $20 but discounted for Tournament players).
FORMAT:
Group Match Play Qualifying + Finals
Qualifying:
Rounds will continue until 5 pm with the absolute minimum being 10 rounds. Players will be in groups of 4 or 3.
Scoring:
- Groups of 4: 7-5-3-1
- Groups of 3: 7-4-1
- Overall points will determine seeding for Finals
Number of players who make finals will depend on total participants.
GAMES LIST:
Nearly all of the 70 or so games present of all eras that are functioning may be available as Arenas. Any game determined by the TDs to substantially vary from how the game was intended to by played, will be removed from play.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
This is a public venue and it will be open to customers who are not playing in the tournament. They may be playing next to us on occasion or we may have to wait a minute to play on a game.
Games will NOT be modified physically (like removing rubbers, etc. to make them harder). Tilts will vary and players found to over abuse extremely loose tilts will be provided a verbal warning, then yellow card, then DQ. Tilts may be modified for finals. For most games we will “play it as it lies” as they say.
The Silverball Arcade is a family-friendly facility. Children are encouraged to play in the tournament when accompanied by an adult.
PARKING - DON'T WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE
While parking is free and the lot is big, it serves multiple businesses and fills up quickly. Once it does, there is paid street parking, garages and lots in the surrounding area. Since Silverball is opening early to accommodate this tournament, we anticipate ample spots to be available especially the earlier you arrive but don't rely on that.
