Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 03, 2024
Tournament Name: Silverball Sundays #12--The Uncanny X-men Launch Party
Time: Tournament play from 1:00 to approximately 4:00. Players should arrive by 12:30 to register.
Format: Group Matchplay, with players paired against each other in four-player or three-player games for as many rounds as can be fit into the designated tournament time. After each round, the Match Play software will determine which players will compete against each other for the next round. At least six rounds of play are anticipated. No player will be knocked out of the competition. At the end of the tournament, the players with the most points are the winners.
Cost and Payout: $10 cash per player, 100% of which goes into a cash prize pool to be paid out entirely to the top finishers. Please bring exact cash. Coin drop is also required for each round, with each game costing $1 per play. Thanks to Stern Pinball, we'll also have prizes specific to the launch party including an Uncanny X-men grand champion plaque, translite, and comic book. The translite and comic book will be given out randomly at the end of the tournament, so anybody can win!
Food and Drink: No outside food and drink allowed. Axemann Brewery includes a great selection of custom brews and two food venues.
Expected Number of Players: 25-30.
Age Limit: All ages are welcome. There will be no separate divisions, so young people will compete with adults.
Registration: No pre-registration is required, but if you plan to come for sure please email Joe Schall, tournament co-director, so we can get a probable head count. Joe’s email is U3W@psu.edu.
