Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: October 25, 2024
We’ve been doing women’s tourneys only for most of the year. By popular demand, husbands, this is your chance to join in on the action. Come play and see if you can now defeat your multi tourney trained spouse.
The tournament format shall be the best game formate of matchplay utilizing the modified decay scoring methodology. Three games will be in play and you will be permitted two plays on each of the three games. Each game will be its own arena and both of your plays on each game will count. This will give six (6) meaningful games in the IFPA system for the qualifying. The finals will be head to head; the top four shall qualify and play a four player game with last place dropping out and finishing fourth; then a three player game will be played with last place dropping out and and finishing third; then a final head to head game for the championship!! Total of 11 meaningful games in the IFPA system (so this is a small and fast tourney).
$1 entry fee per lady (to cover the IFPA entry fee). There will be no formal registration required though we do expect people to give us a courtesy heads up that they plan to attend. This is an open tourney. Children are not invited to attend (exceptions may be made for minors that are actually playing in the tourney, but they must be supervised by their parent and abide by the tourney rules).
*Note, this tourney is open to all genders and you do not have to be married to play in this tourney, it is just the name since many of the husbands of our women’s division tourney players have been asking for a tourney like this…but you do not need to be married to play in this tourney.
