Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 08, 2024
Fall is here and we have a new tournament series! Belles and Chimes San Antonio welcomes women of all ages and skill levels to join us for bi-monthly tournaments, held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month! The tournament format is group matchplay. Entry fee is $6 per person per tournament plus coin drop. Qualifying begins at 6:30 PM. Qualifying will consist of 4-5 rounds with 2 games per round. At the end of qualifying the top players will advance to finals.
New for Fall 2024: The finals will be played in a Pinburgh style bracket. Top seeds will have the option to select a bank of 4 games. Each bank will typically consist of a modern machine (2010-present), a mid-DMD (1993-2009), a Solid State, and an EM. For each game points will be awarded based on the player's finishing position (3, 2, 1, 0).
The top seed picks the games (or may opt to pass their pick) and chooses order for game 1, remaining order is determined by seed with the next highest ranked player choosing order next. For subsequent games the order is determined by the outcome of the prior game, with the lowest ranked player choosing first.
The top two players in each group proceed to the next round. Significant ties are broken by a one ball game chosen by the TD.
