WHEN: October 6, 2024 - 1pm. Must register by 12:45. Doors open at 12pm
COST: $10 for members / $30 for non-members - SEE BELOW FOR PAYOUT DETAILS
QUALIFYING:
4-Player groups each play 2 games per round. 4-Player scoring is 2/1/0/0 . 3-player scoring is 2/1/0. 2-player scoring is 2/0.
At the end of the round, strikes are awarded as follows:
Any player with 0 points is given 3 strikes.
Any player with 1 point is given 2 strikes.
Any player with 2 points is given 1 strike.
Any player with 3 or more points is given no strikes.
Play continues until one player remains.
The strike count will be 5-8 depending on the number of players attending.
FINALS:
There will be no finals, but there may be a consolation game.
BOUNTY:
Each player will be given 5-8 strike chips, to be determined at the time of the tournament. At the end of each round, each player will forfeit the number of chips equal to the number of strikes they receive. Each group will collect these chips only from the players in that group. Chips will be then be awarded in the group as follows:
Players with 2 or 3 strikes will receive no chips.
Players with 0 strikes will receive three chips.
Players with 1 strike will divide any remaining chips evenly. Odd chips left over will be forfeited into the winner fund.
If all players have 2 strikes each, all chips are forfeited into the winner fund.
Bounty chips that have been won may not be used to extend a players game and be used as strikes.
No player shall have to forfeit more than 7 bounty chips as strikes, even if their strike count exceed 7.
PAYOUT:
After fees, all funds will be divided into 2 funds: Bounty fund and winner fund. Each bounty chip is valued at $1.
A 7-strike tournament will have each player given $7 in bounty chips and up to $2 contributed to the winner fund.
All bounty chips remaining in a player's possession at the end of the tournament can be redeemed for $1 for each chip.
The winner fund payout will be TBD. It may count toward the overall winner or as a consolation or a combination of both.
