Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: August 04, 2024
Tournament Date: August 4, 2024
Time: Tournament play from 1:00 to approximately 4:00. Players should arrive by 12:30 to register.
Format: Group Matchplay, with players paired against each other in four-player or three-player games for as many rounds as can be fit into the designated tournament time. After each round, the Match Play software will determine which players will compete against each other for the next round. At least six rounds of play are anticipated. No player will be knocked out of the competition. At the end of the tournament, the players with the most points are the winners. Tiebreakers for top finishers will be played if needed.
Cost and Payout: $10 cash per player, all of which goes into a cash prize pool to be paid out entirely to the top finishers. Please bring exact cash. Coin drop is also required for each round, with each game costing $1 per play. JAWS will be included in every round of play. Prizes specific to JAWS will also be provided by Stern and a donor. The “Silverball Sundays Pinball at Axemann Brewery” facebook website will be updated with more information as the tournament date draws closer.
Food and Drink: No outside food and drink are allowed. Axemann Brewery includes two food venues, and free water is provided.
Registration: No pre-registration is required, but if you plan to come for sure please email Joe Schall, tournament co-director, so we can get a probable head count. Joe’s email is schall@ems.psu.edu.
