MPC Match Play event (Event #3)

Event 3 MPC Match Play event – Saturday

– Qualifying Saturday from 9am -1 pm – You will be put into groups of 4 players. You will play 2 games each round. (7-5-3-1 scoring)

– 6 rounds of 4-player groups (12 games in total)

– Tiered swiss pairing

– 192% WPPR estimate

Playoffs: Saturday starts approximately 30 minutes after qualifying ends or 2:30 pm, whichever is earlier. (to be done around 5-6pm).

-Top 16 in A Division and top 4 get paid. Top winner gets trophy

– B division (eligible): top 4 players after top 16 (players ranked 1-1500 as of May 14 not eligible for B division).

– After qualifying is done, if two or more players are tied for final playoff spot(s), they will play a one-game playoff (random game & order) to determine seeding. This will take place immediately when qualifying ends.

– Players will play 4 games per round with 3-2-1-0 scoring, with the top 2 players advancing to the next round. Top seed picks game and order of 1st game (lowest score of playoff game gets choice of order for next game in that bank). A player cannot pick the same game once it has been picked until final 4 where then the final group will start fresh again

– If there’s a tie after 3 games to advance or any spot 1st-4th place overall, top seed will have a choice of order on the tie-breaker machine.
