Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: May 19, 2024
At 4:00pm (or when SW2 Matchplay is down to top 4 players, whichever is later) we will open SW2 up to our wonderful pinball dudes! We are hijacking GPA's Sunday Detention for the final event of the May 2024 Seattle Women's Super Weekend! Format will be determined closer to the date, but this tournament will be:
$5 buy-in
Group knockout (most likely prog strike)
Open to all genders
IFPA-endorsed
Top 4 paid out
Trophy/plaque/etc for winner
While the women's tournaments are my focus for the weekend, one of my most important goals with SW2 is to give players an open tournament experience with a higher percentage of femme-identifying participants. When women make up more of the player pool, they tend to rank higher in the standings - dontcha just love statistics? We have had a lot of fun with our open events during past SW2 weekends, so I hope y'all pinball guys will come hang with us!
