Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 28, 2024
After Flood Pinball Tournament
Official rules
The tournament will take place on Sunday 28 January 2024 in Viale Bologna, 86 in Forlì, inside Ivan Cicognani's warehouse, following the ICS 2023 Final which will be played the previous day in the same venue.
Plan:
Check-in 9.30-10.00am
10.00am - 12.30pm Qualifying
12.30-13.30 Break
1.30pm - 4.00pm Qualifying
4.00pm - 5.00pm Quarter finals
5.00pm - 6.00pm Semifinal
6.00pm-7.00pm Final
Qualifications: they will be played with the Pin-Golf format: during the tournament there will be 12 pinball machines, in which one game will be played each. Players will be given a note where they can write down scores with numbers from 1 to 8, based on the score obtained and with how many balls. In the header of every pinball machine you will find a sheet like this:
1/2/3 50 million
4 40 million
5 30 million
6 20 million
7 10 million
8 < 10 million
Taking the sign in question:
If you score 50 million with the first ball, you will have to score 1, if you do it with the second ball, you will have to score 2, if with the third ball, 3.
If you score at least 40 million (without exceeding 50) you will have to score 4;
If you score at least 30 million (without exceeding 40) you will have to score 5, and so on;
If you score less than 10 million you will have to score 8.
Once all 12 games have been played, give the scorecard to the match referee.
In this formula, the fewer points you score, the better:
the 16 players with the lowest scores will advance to the next stage.
Eliminations: the 16 players who have passed the qualifying phase will compete in groups of 4 players in a best of three matches. This phase will be played in Pin-Golf format like the qualifying phase.
Quarter-finals (3 games; 4 groups of 4 players): the best ranked player chooses pinball in the first game, the other two will be drawn; the order of play is established by the best ranked player in each group;
the two players with the lowest scores advance to the semifinals;
Semi-final (3 games; 2 groups of 4 players): It takes place in the same way as the quarter-finals;
Final (3 games): Same as quarter-finals and semi-finals, with the exception that all three pinball machines will be drawn.
