Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: August 18, 2014
Tournament costs $5 to enter. There are awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus awards for best woman player and best novice player. For the purposes of these events, a novice is considered anyone who has participated in five or fewer pinball tournaments.
Tournament format is double elimination. Players are assigned single-game matches on a randomly selected machine with a single opponent. After losing two matches, a player is eliminated from the tournament. Players who are out of the tournament are encouraged to stick around Hi-Life and continue to play — we always try to keep a few games open for non-tournament play.
These tournaments have a casual vibe and are intended to be beginner-friendly. We encourage pinball fans to participate regardless of experience or skill level.
