Tournament Overview

Start Date: July 13, 2024
End Date: December 07, 2024

6 sessions once a month will be played. Each league night we will play 7 rounds each on a different machine in groups of 4 or 3.
Groups will be based on attendance.
Points will be given as follows for each game: 7 pts. for 1st, 5 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd and 1 for 4th (or 7,4,1 for a 3 person group).
A total of 49 points would be the maximum a player could achieve in a single night.
First round matches and games will be randomly drawn with the lowest ranked player choosing the order of play.
Order of play will be determined by the Match Play Software.
Subsequent round matches will be determined by overall total points- Swiss style.
Total up the points per league night for the season and that is your rank.
League points will be added together for each of the 6 months.
Total points possible for a season 49 + 49 + 49 + 49 + 49 + 49 = 294
we will drop the 2 lowest scores of the 6 sessions for each player(best 4 of 6)

After completion of the last session, we will have an 8 player playoff.
Seeding for playoffs will be 1,4,5,8 & 2,3,6,7 based on league session finish.
Format will be 3 game Papa style playoff with the highest seed having choice of game selection or position for each game. The next highest seed will have next choice, etc.
Scoring 7-5-3-1 scoring. Total possible points 21 for a round by a player.
The 2 players with the highest score will move on to finals in each match.
Should there be a tie to determine who will move on, A one game tiebreaker game will be played to determine the winner. Highest seed getting pick of game or position.

The final 4 will also play a 3 game papa style playoff finals to determine 1,2,3,4.
If there is a tie then there will be a one game tiebreaker to determine the winner.

Players need to attend at least 50% of the qualifying sessions to be included in the IFPA results.

TGP 7 games in 4 player groups x 2 = 14 games x 6 sessions = 84 qualifying games.
Playoff TGP 3 games in groups of 4 x 2 = 6 games x 2 rounds = 12 playoff games
96 games total
