Tournament Dates and times:
* Qualifying - First round starts Saturday 3rd Feb from 7pm until 10.30pm,
Remaining rounds to be completed Sunday 4th Feb from 10am
* Finals - Sunday 4th Feb after Qualifying completed.
Tournament fee: $40 p/p

It's finally here! The QLD Invitational Tournament finals after a year-long qualifying process. Players who have finished in the Top 3 in any of the following events will be invited to play in this event:

* Brisbane Pinball Club @ Netherworld (Tuesdays fortnightly)
* Sunshine Coast Pinball Max Matchplay / Group Matchplay / Flip Frenzy (Thursdays weekly)
* Pinball Haus Group Matchplay (Fridays fortnightly)
* Gold Coast Pinball Club @ Timezone Surfers Paradise (1st Wed of every month)
* Yaboola Pinball Club Group Matchplay (Wednesdays fortnightly)
* Netherworld Flip Frenzy / Max Matchplay (1st Sat of every month)
* Park 'N Plunge @ The Park, Coomera (2nd Mon of every month)
* Pinball Clubhouse @ Moorooka Bowls Club (3rd Fri of every month)
* 1up Underground Social Pinball Club (Thursdays monthly)
* Pizza + Pinball Monthly @ Empire, Townsville (3rd Mon of every month)
* West End Wizards @ Townsville (Fridays monthly)
* Coomera BOB (Last Tuesday of every month)

Here's how the tournament finals will run:

Qualifying Stage:

All players will play 8 x 2-game rounds of Group Matchplay, using IFPA point scoring.
The Top 24 players will advance to the finals on Sunday afternoon.
Ties for any meaningful positions, such as a bye or to advance to finals will be broken by a single-game playoff on a machine to be chosen at random, while all other seeding positions will be broken automatically.

Finals Stage:

The Top 8 players will receive a first-round bye.
Seeds 9-24 will be grouped into 4 groups of 4, playing 3 games per round, using Slaughter pairings. The top 2 players in each group will advance to the next round. Ties for 2nd place in any group will be broken by a single-game playoff drawn at random.
This process will continue until the final round of 4 players.
The winner will be the player with the most points in the final round. IFPA point scoring will be used for all rounds.
