The top 24 players in the IFPA Illinois standings will be invited to play in the state final. This tournament will be a head to head single elimination bracket with best of 7 matches. Seeding will be based on state standings. Top 8 will receive a bye round.


Tournament Date: Saturday, January 20th, 2024
Start Time: Doors open at 9am for warmup. Roll call at 930am with matches beginning shortly after. If you are not present for roll call I will begin a five minute timer. Once five minutes is up if you are not present your spot will be given to the next available alternate. If you are seeded 1-8 you have a bye for the first round, you still need to be there at 930am for check in. I will have alternates on site that need to be slotted into the bracket if someone doesn't show up, so I can't risk someone in the top 8 not arriving after I've already started the first round for 9-24.

Please note that we will be utilizing the Old/Mid/New selection process, the same used at IFPA18. Old will generally be considered solid state and earlier, Mid will generally be considered 90's pins, New will generally be considered 2000's+ modern Stern/JJP/AP pins. There may be exceptions to these categories.
