Tournament Overview
Start Date: January 04, 2024
End Date: March 09, 2024
Starting January 4th and running through March 7th…head to head, max matchplay is back! You spoke, we listened, let’s GO! Every Thursday night through March 7th at Magoo’s, 5002 S Memorial Dr, Tulsa, OK 74145. The details below:
1. 10 weeks of head to head play (2 player groups). League fees will be $11 ($1 IFPA and $10 to prize pool). Prize pool will split between and A and B finals on Saturday, March 9th at 12:00pm. 75% for A and 25% for B.
2. Start time will be at 6:00pm….if you are going to be late, no worries. Just let us know. You can still get in as long as you aren’t too late.
3. Coin up. Start a 2 player game. Play YOUR ball. Get the results posted….Have Fun!
4. We will take the Top 50% of the league field for A. If we have 50% participation at 24 players, that will be 12; 32 players, that will be 16. The key is consistent attendance to hit those numbers. All those who didn’t qualify and participated more than 50% will be in B.
5. Matches will consist of at least 6 games every week with the goal being that everyone plays a different person and pin for the 6 games….doesn’t always happen but, it’s software. It’s like a flipper frenzy but at the very least you are guaranteed to play 6 games.
6. If you play games in between matches and that game is called, you will be asked to vacate. Coin up at your risk!
7. Major malfunctions will be substituted and an alternate game will be coined up by TD. All TD rulings are final. Every opportunity will be made to resolve issues fairly for all involved.
8. You are more than welcome to NOT pay the prize pool; however, if you make A or B you void that prize pool if you take 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in either. You still have to pay $1 for the IFPA fee.
9. Since this is a 10 week league, you are allowed to be absent or drop your lowest 4 weeks. This will be over 2 months of play.
Finals for A and B:
Saturday, March 9th at 12:00pm.
A finals will consist of a 4 games per round, group elimination (top 2 move on). The top seed has the choice of picking games for the round. Next in line picks order and so on. Last place in the game picks order for the next. Top seed can not pick the same games twice in subsequent round(s). PAPA scoring (4/2/1/0).
B finals will begin immediately after A finals games have been chosen and started. B finals will consist of a Ladder elimination bracket. Play will be important during league….even if you didn’t qualify for A, you could have a nice seating for B with a Ladder bracket. The pins used will be those that the A group is not playing. If you are last in B, then you will go first for order and so on. This is a 4 player group format. Lowest score in group is eliminated. Then the other 3 move on and play the next high seed. Same order as previous, lowest seed plays first.
Thanks to all of you for the feedback and the “wants” for pinball play. We really try and keep things different and a variety for all.
