Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 04, 2023
There will be exactly 32 players and each player will be given a randomly selected NFL Team. Then each player will play their team's 2023 NFL team schedule against other players in 1 v 1 matches. The home team chooses the machine and plays 2nd in position. Each team can only choose a given machine once during the season (Thus picking 8 or 9 different machines). The winner wins that game between the two teams and then both players move onto their next game.
All players will end their 17 game season with a win loss record which will determine who makes playoffs. There will be a 4 player B division playoff for the top 4 players outside the IFPA ranking of 1000.
After all players have played their entire season, playoffs are determined in the exact same way the NFL Playoffs are determined. All 8 division winners will make the playoffs plus 3 wild cards in each conference. Tie breakers will be broken using NFL tie-breaking rules as able to be applied. If unable to still break the tie, there will be a 1 game tiebreaker instead of a coin flip.
Playoffs will be 1 v 1 best of 3 matches, with a bracket exactly like the NFL playoffs.
B division will play 3 games in a four player group for B division prizes.
