QUALIFYING
Saturday November 11th, 10am

• Group Matchplay
• 10 rounds of 2 games
• IFPA scoring
• Balanced pairings for each round
• Top 24 players will advance to the finals.
• Ties will be automatically broken by the Matchplay software, however some tie-breaker games may be required, which will be played immediately after the final round is completed.

FINALS
Sunday November 12th, 10am

• Best-of-five head-to-head matches
• Top 8 qualifiers receive a first round bye
• The loser of each best-of-five is eliminated
• Players are ranked by qualifying position
• Round pairings: Highest seed player vs lowest seed, second-highest seed vs second-lowest seed, etc.
• The higher-seed player in a match choses machine for game 1, opponent choses player order. Choice alternates for remaining games
• No machine can be played more than once in the same pairing
• The winner of the final pairing is declared the 2023 WA Open Champion
• A 3rd & 4th place consolation final will be played in a best-of-three match following same logic for game and order choice
