Tournament Overview
Start Date: October 19, 2023
End Date: December 21, 2023
22 player round-robin league.
Over seven weeks, each player will play every other player once.
Each week is three matches of 5 games. 15 games each week. 105 games each across regular season.
There will be one bye week for Nov 9 (as we have another big competition that weekend)
Scoring is win:loss for each of the 5 game matches. Ie 5:0, 4:1, 3:2 etc
At the end of the 7 week regular season, we will have finals for the Top 8 qualifiers on win:loss record.
If tiebreakers for finals are required, this will be via single game high score on a machine chosen via random draw.
2 weeks of finals (14 Dec, 21 Dec):
- Best of 7, top 4 get a double chance, next 4 straight knockout
- 1v4, 2v3, 5v8, 6v7
- Winner 1v4 & 2v3 straight to Preliminary
- Loser 1v4 plays winner of 5v8
- Loser 2v3 plays winner of 6v7
- Winners of these move to preliminary final
- Prelims are straight knockout to advance to the GF
