Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: April 15, 2023
Did you file? Regardless, let's try and minimize the pain of taxes in general with a big Max Match Play event with an $11 entry + coin drop ($10 for a prize pool and $1 to IFPA fees - you DO NOT have to enter the prize pool (you do have to pay the $1 IFPA fee); however, if you are one of the top finalists you'll miss out on $$$). Start time is 11:30am. Experimenting on a little earlier start times on Saturday's.
Payouts for the Top 3 AND a payout to the top spot in B. That's right, B finals are back, Jack!
Max Match Play is a little like a round robin event. Players will play head-to-head matches until they have played the required number of matches played. We're going to be ambitious and shoot for 10 total games played by everyone and have no limit (in other words, everybody is playing a game at the same time with no waits/queues as much as possible.)
Finals for A will be the Top 50% for a group elimination bracket, 3 games per round with, PAPA scoring. The top seed will pick all three games and order for the first game. Then, last place picks order of the next game, and so on.
Finals for B will be a 3 strike, group knockout. One strike for last in a 3-player group and a strike for 3rd and 4th place in a 4-player group. Last one without 3 strikes wins the B Finals pot!
