Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: February 25, 2023
A fundraising tournament for Holland Bloorview Children's Rehabilitation Hospital. So far PFC has raised over $1500 for the hospital, and we want to do even more!
Cost $40 - this includes a $25 donation, and the rest goes to cover food/drink and host fee. Many thanks to Shane, Doug and Noel for opening their doors to us for this event.
Doors at 4 pm, tournament starts at 5 pm.
Tournament Format is Target Match Play. Everybody will play 20 Head to Head Matches (Longer playing games at Maple will not be included in the tournament, but don't worry, some DMDs and LCD games will definitely still be in). This is a new format that is like a frenzy, but without the timed elements built in. It also makes much more of an effort to ensure you don't play the same players over and over - it's a much more balanced format.
Playoffs will be an Amazing Race. Everybody plays the same game, and the bottom scoring player will be eliminated. As close to the top 50% as possible will make the playoffs. Example - 27 players, top 13 qualify. 43 players, 21 qualify. Last player left wins the tournament.
If you like IFPA points, this tournament should pack an impressive amount into it.
Please register for the event here. You will be contacted the week before with all details.
