Format and Rules:
Flip Frenzy format. You will be playing head to head (2-player) matches and we will have a queue of players waiting in line to play a match. As soon as ANY match ends, this will trigger the first person in the queue to go play a match. Rinse and repeat for 2.5 hours. When a match ends and after reporting a win using the Matchplay Events software, Player 1 will now become player 2 for the next match against the first player standing in queue. The player coming out of the queue will always be Player 1. Player 2 from the previous match then moves to the back queue, regardless if you win or lose, Player 2 ALWAYS goes to the end of the queue. At the end of each match the winner gets (+1) point and the loser will get (-1) point. After 2.5 hours of qualifying the top 6 based on "net wins" will move on to the finals. The top 2 seeds will receive a bye. "Net Wins" is determined by the number of wins minus the number of losses. Tiebreakers will be decided by "most wins", followed by the "fewest losses".
Format Specific Rules:
1. Players may not concede the game prior to the start of ball 3
2. In the event that a registered player is late at the start of a match, that player will be moved to the end of the queue and will also receive a loss for that match.
Finals: Top 6 will move on to the "A" finals with top 2 receiving a bye. First round will consist of 4 players, playing 2 games (1 modern and 1 classic) with 4/2/1/0 scoring. Top 2 will advance to the finals where the top 2 seeds will join. Final group will also play 2 games (1 modern and 1 classic) with 4/2/1/0 scoring.
