AT
IMPERIAL MEASURES DISTILLING
31 West Thebarton Rd, Thebarton SA 5031
FLIP FRENZY TOURNAMENT
See details below
The format for this tournament at TREVS POP UP is Flip Frenzy.
All the comp information is on the IFPA calendar and also on the TREVS BARCADE Facebook page. I have also included the information below.
Registration and warm-up starts at 5.30 and the comp itself starts at 6.30.
Any questions at all let me or know and I will get back to you asap.
DATE:
THURSDAY 13 OCTOBER 2022
GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Registration and warm up 5.30-6.30 sharp.
2. Information and questions from players 5.30 - 6.30
3. Tournament: 6.30-10.30.
4. We are running a Flip Frenzy tournament using matchplay events.
5. Once all players have registered we will decide on how many machines to use.
6. When the tournament starts each machine is randomly assigned 2 players. The remaining players are placed in a queue.
7. When a match is completed:
- BOTH players go to the desk to report the result. The winner scores a WIN (1 point) and the loser scores a LOSS (-1 point).
- regardless of the result, the player who was player 2 in the game is placed at the rear of the queue and player 1 returns to the machine with his/her next opponent. The new player will play as PLAYER 1 in the new game and the returning player as PLAYER 2.
- the process is repeated for all matches.
8. When a player's name is called they will be given approximately 15-20 seconds to respond. If they do not, they will be credited with a loss and placed at the back of the queue.
9. A player is free to concede a match or end a ball if they so desire. BUT, ALL BALLS MUST BE PLUNGED - that is, the machine must be in a game over state when the players leave the machine. Turning a machine off/on to end a game is not permitted. COLLUSION between players to manipulate the result - by playing a one ball game for example - is strictly forbidden. Players doing this will be disqualified immediately.
10. If an extra ball is earned, it must be plunged and drained without using flippers or nudging BUT can be 'skillfully' plunged.
11. At the end of 3 hours 30 minutes no more games may start. Currently running games are to be completed.
12. Standings are based on net wins (wins MINUS losses = score). Highest score wins.
13. Ties are broken by the most wins, then head-to-head results and if still tied, by a single game play-off on a machine chosen at random using a list randomiser. Ties will only be broken for first, second and third places.
14. ENTRY FEE: $26 for the whole night.
Inc IFPA FEE
15. On the night players should have their IFPA # ready, to save time. Just Google IFPA and your name to get your # if you have one.
16. For players who want more practice, they can attend the Friday pinball and arcade game nights at Amusement Worx. Check dates on the Amusement Worx Facebook page or the Amusement Worx calendar on Aussie Arcade.
