Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 24, 2022
This is a monthly pinball tournament and will be held on the 4th Saturday of each month at a different location in Kitsap county.
Tournament details:
- The entry fee is $5. All entry fees will be paid out in full to the top 4 finishers. Location pot splash is to be determined.
- Sign-ups begin at 2:30 PM and the tournament starts at 3:00 PM.
- This tournament is worth IFPA points (WPPRs). IFPA fees will be paid by the location. If at least 8 players sign up, this tournament will generate 100% TGP value for maximum IFPA points.
Qualifying format:
- 5 rounds of group matchplay using 4 (or 3) player groups using IFPA scoring (7-5-3-1).
- Player pairing will be tiered Swiss, which will start balanced and gradually start to pair people with similar points.
- Arena draws will use matchplay.events “Balanced” setting, which attempts to maximize the number of unique match-ups.
- In the event of a tie to make finals, the tie-breaker will be determined by the player with the most 1st place finishes, followed by the most 2nd place finishes, etc.
Semi-finals/Finals format:
- If there are at least 16 players, the top 8 will advance.
- Top seed from qualifying has machine bank choice.
- 2 groups of 4 players will play 4-player games on four machines simultaneously (4 player multi-matchplay) using IFPA scoring (7-5-3-1).
- Top 2 players from each group advance to final 4 which is an additional round of multi-matchplay
- In the event of fewer than 16 total players, only the top 4 will advance and finals will consist of 2 rounds of multi-matchplay with no elimination
