Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: September 04, 2022

We will be playing a matchplay pinball tournament.
Qualifying rounds will be 7 rounds of standard match play tournament pinball.
Scoring will be 7/5/3/1 for 4 player groups and 7/4/1 for 3 player groups
Qualifying should last approximately 3 hours
At the conclusion of qualifying, we anticipate setting up A, B & C divisions for finals!
A-division, the top 12 qualifying players will make A division. (PAPA style finals) Players 1-4 will have a first round bye, while players 5-12 will divide into 2 groups of 4 and play 3 games for each group (scoring format 7/5/3/1) after the 3 games the bottom two players will be eliminated - in the event of a tie they will play a 4th game.
After the 1st round, the top 2 player from each of the first round will continue in the semifinals playing against players 1-4! Playing in 2 groups of 4. (PAPA style)
At the conclusion of the semifinals, the top 2 players from each of the two groups will advance to the finals where they will play the final round of playoffs on 3 games.
B-division, players who finished qualifying in positions 13-28 will play a 2 strike knock out finals tournament with groups of 4 players per game. Players finishing each round in 3rd & 4th will receive a strike. If a group only has 3 or 2 players, only the lowest finishing player receives a strike. Play will continue until only 1 player remains with less than 2 strikes.
C-division, players who finished qualifying in positions 28-?? will play a 2 strike knock out tournament with groups of 4 players per game. Players finishing each round in 3rd & 4th will receive a strike. If a group only has 3 or 2 players, only the lowest finishing player receives a strike. Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 finishers in A-division, winner in B-division, and winner in C-division!
