Thursday Night June Shake-Up Series Matchplay
Part of the June Shake-up we will be having 2 Matchplay events to give everyone a taste of something different.
June 16th and 30th we will be doing Thursday Night Group Matchplay!
Doors open at 6, Matchplay will begin at 6:30!
Entry fee will be $2 for Thursday Night Pinball.
This is an IFPA Sanctioned Event. The Arcade will pay the $1/player sanctioning fee.
Each week we will play 5 rounds of Group Matchplay Qualifying. You will be grouped in 4s or 3s and play 1 game per round, using the IFPA 7,5,3,1 scoring system.
Seeding and player order will be random, arena draws and group pairing will be balanced.
After the 5 rounds are complete, the top 4 qualifiers will play a Group Matchplay Final consisting of 4 games played in the multiplay format. The top seed will get the choice of 4 adjacent games, or choice of player order for the finals. Finals will use the Pinburgh scoring 3,2,1,0.
Tie breakers will be on, if there is a further tie for finals qualifiers, it will be broken with a 1 game playoff. A coin flip will determine who gets the choice of game between Star Trek or Nine Ball, or the choice of player order. In the event of a tie with more than 4 players, a 1 ball game will be played on Star Trek and order will be randomly selected.
Finishing order in this event will be added to the June Shake-Up Series Points.
