Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: February 20, 2022
BAPA's 13-Hole Pingolf
Qualifying Round
All players will play 13 machines (aka "holes") I. groups of 3 or 4. The pairings
Each hole will have either a score or objective based task(s) that must be reached in the fewest number of balls (aka "strokes") available. When you complete the task, the ball you're on is the number of strokes it took you to complete the hole. For example:
-Medieval Madness' task is to "Destroy 3 castles" (the objective)
Player 1 destroys the 3rd castle on ball 3 - 3 strokes
P2 does so on ball 2 - 2 strokes
P3 on ball 1 - 1 strike
P4 fails to complete the task on ball 5, the final ball/try- earns 6 strokes
-Whirl Wind's task is to score 3 million points
P1 scores 3+ mil on ball 2 - 2 strokes
P2 3+ mil on ball 1 - 1 stroke
P3 on ball 5 - 5 strokes
P4 on ball 2 - 2 strokes
-The players 'strokes are tallied. P2 is in the lead with 3 strokes, followed by P1 with 5 strokes, P3 w/6 strokes, and P4 w/8 strokes. The lowest stroke totals determines the top scores.
Since every player will play the same machines with the same tasks, your stroke total is compared to the entire field. So even if you had the worst stroke total in your group, you can still make the finals when your total is compared to all players.
Finals will consist of the top 8 players with the lowest stroke total in the Pingolf round. 3 games per round of match play. Top 2 from each round advances.
Winner receives a Stern translite and prizes.
