Wichita SCS Kickoff Flip Frenzy at The Arcade!

Saturday, January 8th

Frenzy Begins at 5:00!

Entry fee is $5.

This is an IFPA Sanctioned Event!
$1 IFPA Fee will be paid by the Arcade

Flipper Frenzy is a timed event. It will consist of two 1.5 hour halves with a short reset break in between. Events from 5:00pm-6:30pm and 7:00pm-8:30pm. When the clock expires all games currently in progress will finish and no new games will be started.

Players may join at any time, you must play 12 games to be eligible for the finals.

The top 4 (or 8 if over 16 players) players who have the best combined win/loss differential will advance to a 4 games per round multiplay, matchplay final. Ties will be broken on number of wins. If there is a further tie, a tie break game on Bally Star Trek will be played to determine finalists.

Flipper Frenzy format is simple. Matchplay will assign Player 1 and Player 2 in head to head games on random machines. As results are entered, Player 1 will become Player 2 for the next game with the next player in the queue. Player 2 will go to the back of the queue and wait for their next game.

No show players, or players who have not reported to their game will be given a loss and moved to the back of the queue.

Finals will be the top 4 (or 8 if over 16 players) players playing 4 game multiplay Matchplay rounds. Top seed will get a choice of a bank of 4 adjacent games, or player order. All games will be played at the same time. We will use the slow start format, where player 1 is player 1 on all 4 games. Top 2 from each advance to final round. Players who choose games will not be allowed to pick 2 of the 4 games chosen in following round. Tie breaker for advancing or final placement will be played on Bally Star Trek

Games will not be on freeplay, so please bring your quarters. A change machine is available for your convenience.
