Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 04, 2022
This is a free twice monthly tournament.
It is a 1 game game qualifier with the best 8 players continuing on to the finals.
You get only 1 try on the qualifying game which is different every time but is always an older classic one and is separated from the rest of the pinballs and designated as the qualifying game for this tournament only
You can play your 1 game anytime between 5PM-8:30PM on the night of this tournament.
To register for just this side tournament send an email with your contact into to ekthoren@yahoo.com and say you want to play in this tournament and please specify the exact date. When you arrive you must make yourself known and that you are here to play in this tournament and can't just start playing pinball machines.
This is in the same location and time as District 82 Pinball League. Anyone can join league for the month or for a single night. Pricing for league is on the website and you must register in advance. If so you can play any of the other 100+ pins at this location. You do not have to join the league night in order to play in this tournament.
No other games will be available for you to play at this location if you are only coming here to play the 'free' tournament. You play your 1 qualifying game and then you are welcome to play the mega touches or multi-video games or sit on the couches while you wait to see if you make the finals for top 8. If you do make the finals then you will play those games that are designated.
Finals consist of an 8 game multi-match play finals with 4 games being played for 2 groups of 4 players. Top 2 advance, bottom 2 eliminated. Then the final 4 play for the win. D82 swag prizes are give to top 4 players.
If we somehow get more than 80 players the format and number of players in the finals will change to stay within the rules of IFPA of having at least 10% of the field in the finals. Tournament Director will let the players know on site of any changes prior to finals.
