Tournament Format
Open to anyone, even those playing in the MGV Pinball League Finals (happening at the same time)
3-strikes match play format. 2, 3 or 4-player groups. Players will be in groups of four, where the bottom two players get strikes each round. In the case of groups of three, only the bottom player gets a strike. 3 strikes and you are out!
Play continues until only one player remains—the MGV Pinball Open Champion!
First round, players will be assigned to random groups. Following rounds, players will be assigned roughly according to tournament position.
Machines will be assigned randomly, but for the first 2 or 3 rounds, we may do EM/SS only (no DMDs).
Top four players at the end of the night win cash!
Please note that this format is subject to change. Any changes will be announced on the Facebook event page and at the start of the tournament.
How to play
Come to Morristown Game Vault after 6 pm. It’s $15 to get in, stay and play free until closing or tournament end. Tell the front desk you are playing in the tournament. Tournament begins at 7 pm or when all registered players are present.
In addition, pay $5 to TD for tournament registration; $4 will go to the prize pool and $1 to IFPA.
Tournament will be run on matchplay.events. IFPA standard competition rules apply. TD has final say in all tournament decisions and rulings.
