Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 20, 2021
There will be a 3 hour flipper frenzy tournament, players will be randomly assigned a head to head matchup on a bank of 9 machines, and scored on wins or losses. Players will be ranked on net wins, wins minus losses, with the tie breaker being number of wins. The queue will be maxed at 20% of participants. At the end of 3 hours, the highest 4, or highest 8 if there are more than 20 competitors, based on net wins, will participate in a 3 game finals, or 3 game semi and 3 game finals if more than 20 participants) where highest qualifier chooses a bank of games and from there scoring will be DC League (4,3,2,1), any ties will result in a 1 game playoff to break ties for finalists only. We will use matchplay.events software for the tournament. Anticipate 20-25 meaningful games played during the 3 hour tournament with an additional 3-6 games for finals (3 if less than 20 competitors, and 6 if 20 or more competitors.)
