Waterland Arcade’s Saturday Pinball League is a monthly league with each month consisting of a series of qualifying tournaments held on Saturdays at 8pm, except for the last Saturday of the month. Each series will conclude with a finals tournament held at 8pm on the last Saturday of each month.
Both qualifying and finals tournaments are 3-strikes, head-to-head, knockout pinball tournaments. The tournaments are held on Saturday nights at 8:00pm with sign-ups starting at 7pm. All of the qualifying tournaments are open to all players. The final is restricted to those who place in the top half of the qualifying field for the month.
For all tournaments, the buy-in is $5 per player. All entry fees are paid out as cash prizes to the winners. No IFPA fees are paid from the pot. Also, Waterland will splash the pot to bring it to at least $75! For the final, Waterland also awards Waterland Arcade gift certificates to the top three finishers! These gift certificates are accepted at the bar or in the store.
Each player's top two placements in qualifying tournaments during the month count toward qualifying for the final. Only those players who rank in the top-half (rounded down) of the field for the month are eligible for the monthly final.
To determine league standings for the month, we will use INDISC scoring to assign points (100, 97, 95, 94, 93, ..., 0) based on placement (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, ..., no-show) for each qualifying tournament. A player’s standing will be based on the sum of the INDISC points from their best two Saturday finishes during that month, with higher point totals ranking higher. A player must compete in at least one weekly qualifying tournament during the month in order to be considered for that month's final.
Waterland will submit IFPA results for the final monthly league standings at the end of each month.
