Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: August 01, 2021
This is a Match Play qualifier + Strikes style finals, so we're dubbing this our MatchStrike tournament!
We will begin the tournament at 2pm and will be a Match Play style format. This will take place in 4 player groups and each group will play 2 games, one more modern game and one older game. We will play for 5 rounds for a total of 10 games in the qualification period. If you get 1st place on a game, you'll get 7 points, 2nd place nets you 5, third place nets you 3, and 4th place gets you 1 point. At the end of the 5 rounds, the top 8 players will move into Finals. Finals will be head-to-head matches for the top 8 with a 2-strike knockout. Essentially, lose two games in finals and you're out. Tournament buy-in is $5 with $1 going to the IFPA for sanctioning the event and the remaining $4 going into a prize pool for the top 3 competitors.
It's the $20 entry fee to Next Level which gives all day access to the entire facility. We will also be giving $2 of every admission into the Next Level Championship prize pool.Tournaments are open to people of all ages and skill levels. We have some of the best players in the country here in Oregon, as well as many new people getting into the hobby all the time! It's a great way to improve your skills as well as just meet friendly and fun people in the community! Standardly, there are about 30-40 people per event.
