Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: February 15, 2020
Locations opens at noon for practice, tournament starts at 1pm
Main Tournament:
Format is double elimination group match play on 3 machines per round in groups of 3 or 4. Scoring is 7-5-3-1. Stranger Things will always be one of the machines played, unless removed from the tournament due to mechanical failure.
The top 2 from each group advance in the "Our World" main tournament until only 3 players remain.
Players that are eliminated in an Our World group continue by being fed into the next round of the "Upside Down" (loser's bracket tournament). The top 2 players in Upside Down groups advance until only 1 player remains in the Upside Down.
Final:
The final 3 players from Our World and the 1 surviving player from the Upside Down then play a 2 strike knockout tournament on Stranger Things Pro, with the bottom player of each round getting a strike. The Upside Down survivor starts this phase of the tournament with one strike already earned.
