Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 25, 2020
1st Round
All players will be split into 2 groups of 16 players. In group 1 are the best 32 players with an odd position (1, 3, 5, 7 and so on). The other group will consist of players with an even position (2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and so on). Every player plays against each other one time on an approved machine.
The 4 best players of each group will progress to the next round. If two or more players have the same points (wins), a playoff will follow (one player game on one pinball machine, highest score(s) win(s)). The playoff machine will be chosen by the tournament director.
2nd Round
Second round will be played as single elimination in best-of-3 mode. The pairings are: 1st group 1 vs 4th group 2; 2nd group 1 vs 3rdgroup 2; 3rd group 1 vs 2nd group 2 and 4th group 1 vs 1st group 2. The higher ranked player chooses the first and (if necessary) third machine and has to start the match. The other player chooses the second table and has to start the game.
The winners of the semifinal will progress to the final round. The losers play a single game on one machine for places 5 to 8.
The machine for the loser’s game will be chosen by the tournament director. The order of the players will be drawn.
3rd Round – Final
The final round will be played with 4 players on 3 pinball machines (Papa Style). Points as follows:
