Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: December 08, 2019
It's time for the annual Pinball for Patronage, #4!
The month of December is the month for giving. There are many families and others struggling through the holidays, so let's get together and give back to the great city of Pittsburgh and those in need with a pinball tournament fundraiser @ The Hop for the Pittsburgh Food Bank. $5 suggested donation or more if you can give + $1 to the IFPA. No entry fee or prize pool, but IFPA certified!
In the spirit of food and giving, we'll also host a potluck for those that would like to get involved. Food, drinks, whatever you would like to bring just coordinate with me!
Schedule:
11am - Potluck! Doors open for pinball play all day.
2pm - Modified 3/4 Strikes tournament (Dependent on # of entrants) starts.
For those that can't make it but still want to help, you can donate to me or to the food bank directly. $50 feeds a person for 3 months; our money can go a long way!
Potluck:
Bring a dish or drink to share! I'll supply the mechanisms. Food should be of the breakfast or brunch type!
Tournament rules:
Modified 3/4 Strikes tournament (Dependent on # of entrants)
Players will be placed in a group of 3 or 4 players and play on a random machine. The bottom two 1-2 scores receive strikes. 3/4 strikes and you are out. Once we reach 50% left in the tournament (even numbers between 8-24), we will move the remaining folks into a Pinburgh style matchplay final. Ties to qualify for the final will be 1 full random game with the top x moving on.
Balanced style grouping.
All games on free play and available to play while you wait (or you are out of the tournament)
