Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: November 08, 2019

Welcome to Next Level Pinball weekend! This is a series of IFPA sanctioned events Friday, Saturday, and Sunday that are designed to showcase several different formats for pinball, as well as being optimized for some great WPPR points if you're looking to gather some before the end of the year! Come for one tournament or come for all three, but we're excited to see some of the best pinball players the West Coast as well as newer players that are looking to get involved in the competitive pinball scene!

Please pre-register for the events by emailing NextLevelPinball@gmail.com and including your name and which tournament(s) you're planning to attend. Pre-registrations will be on a first-come, first-reserved basis. We have TONS of pinball machines, but an overall capacity quota. We'll absolutely take same-day registrations as long as there is room, I'm just trying to make sure if we're getting out-of-towners and are close to capacity that people don't make the drive out if there isn't space in the tournament.

Entry Fee: $15 Next Level entrance fee + $5 tournament buy in. All machines on Free-Play!

Time: 7:30pm, prompt. I will make tournament announcements starting right at 7:30 and we'll have three hours of flipper frenzy madness! You can certainly show up late, but we won't be waiting on the start time for any late-comers, so please plan ahead for any traffic and parking!

Format: There are no Finals rounds in this style of tournament - the winner will be the person with the best win/loss record at the end of three hours of competition. Matches are 1 vs. 1 on randomly drawn machines. If you lose your match, you will stay on that same machine and face a new competitor. If you lose two matches in a row on the same machine you will move back into the queue for another match up on a randomly assigned game.

This style of this tournament uses time as a factor of success. You want to win - but you want to win quickly and get back in the queue. A typical three hour block will mean playing anywhere between 20-30 games, so this is a fast-paced style of tournament designed to keep you on your toes and playing heaps of pinball!

Prizes: Trophies and payouts (less IFPA fee and trophy costs) for Top 4 finishers.

Capacity: 50 players
