Tournament Date: November 03, 2019
Join the Triad Pinball Players as we welcome 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory' to Boxcar GSO!
Registration/Cost:
Free and open admission until the event starts at 2pm. A $1 donation per player is appreciated, but not mandatory. This fee allows us to receive World Pinball Player Rankings (WPPRs), and is payed to the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) per player in each event. Players are responsible for their own tokens during tournament play.
Qualifying Format:
Group Match Play (3 hour limit)
Players will be randomly grouped into 3 or 4 using a balanced table/arena draw.
Players will be awarded points based on the final standing of each round using IFPA scoring:
4 player group: 1st-7, 2nd-5, 3rd-3, 4th-1
3 player group: 1st-7, 2nd-4, 3rd-1
Finals Format:
The top 50% of qualifying participants will compete in a PAPA Style Match Play Finals: 3 game Rounds, 4 player groups whenever possible. Qualifying standings will determine Finals seeding, and we'll continue with IFPA scoring for the Finals. Tie breakers (by placement) will be used throughout the duration of both Qualifying and Finals.
Prizes:
This is an IFPA sanctioned event, and an official Stern Army location. Prizes will be awarded to the top players. If players show interest in a cash prize pool, one will be generated amongst ONLY those who buy-in.
Payout for top 3 (<16): 1st-50% 2nd-30% 3rd-20%
Payout for top 4 (>15): 1st-50% 2nd-25% 3rd-15% 4th-10%
